Jonathan Polland is a partner with
Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP.
He specializes in business litigation, and has a wide variety of
experience in breach of contract, partnership, business tort, fraud,
breach of fiduciary duty and securities cases representing both
plaintiffs and defendants.
Examples of matters he has recently
handled include:

Successfully defended a $52
million claim brought against a real estate development company
involving 1,100 acres in Los Gatos, California, and recovered
over $18 million on the cross-claim relating to the same
property after a one-month jury trial

Recovered in excess of $1.5
million on a claim for breach of a software license agreement
and successfully defended cross-claims based on alleged software
defects

Successful defense of a radio
broadcasting company from claims of tortious interference with
contract brought by a competitor

Supervised the dissolution of a
law firm that employed seventy-five attorneys, including
representation of the firm in fee disputes with former clients,
and disputes with former partners
Jon also has significant
mediation, arbitration and trial experience.
In 2004, 2005 and 2006, Jon
was honored as
a “Super Lawyer” by San Francisco magazine in
an annual survey of Northern California lawyers.
