Christopher D. Jensen

Chris Jensen is an associate with Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP. His practice focuses on environmental litigation, counseling clients regarding compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations, and advising clients in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was an associate at the law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish, LLP and law clerk to U.S. District Judge Marilyn Hall Patel.

Chris' professional expertise includes:

  • Representing clients in defense of claims for recovery of environmental clean-up costs and related damages
  • Counseling clients regarding state and federal environmental statutes and regulations, including CEQA, NEPA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and hazardous materials regulations
  • Representing clients in defense and prosecution of claims under state and federal air and water quality laws
  • Advising clients regarding environmental liability and regulatory requirements in real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and loan agreements
  • Counseling "clean technology"-sector companies concerning environmental issues in connection with Department of Energy loan guarantee program applications
  • Representing clients in defense of claims under California's Proposition 65
  • Advising clients regarding sustainability and climate change issues, including compliance with California AB32, developments in the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, and voluntary emissions reduction programs
